Cottage is on Long Lake, 50 minutes north of Kingston, 30 Km. south west of Sharbot Lake, below # 7 Hiway, north of village of Parham which is on Hiway #38.

We generally receive visitors for two week periods during July and August and into early September. Periods shown are Saturdays 4PM to Sat. noon. Initials beside dates indicates visitors for that period.

We are a 10 minute drive south of the Cross Canada Trail system-goes through Mountain Grove. Ottawa is about 1 1/2 hours drive to the east. 50 minute drive south to Kingston.


Private and natural setting.
Large property, 228 feet lakefront, 400 feet deep. Rocky shoreline, two docks.
The cottage is modern, 18 years old. Two storey chalet style with walk out upper balcony. Deck has spacious seating area + dining table for 6 to 8 persons.
Drive up to back door. Plenty of parking away from the cottage.
Stone fireplace, carpeted living room and bedrooms; separate dining area from kitchen.
Fully equipped eat-in kitchen plus large modern fridge, stove, microwave, food processors etc., cookbooks from around the world.
3+ bedrooms. Master bedroom-queen. Sm. b.r., two singles. Sm. b.r., one double. Linen provided if required.
Two modern bathrooms. Shower in each. Bathtub in upper.
Front load washing machine and dryer in lower bathroom.

Satellite TV. receiver for programs, movies. T.V. in living room. Cable to both T.V.'s.

BB/Q. Spare tanks of propane.
Lots of chaise lounges.

Two docks to access water. Swimming platform. Swimming safe. Walk down steps into water on one dock or dive off other dock. Ladder on main dock. No sand beach.
No weeds at water entry. 8x8 swimming floating dock with ladder.
12 foot aluminum boat with 5 H.P. motor included in rent and one tank of gas-ready to go.
2 Kayaks. Life jackets various sizes - children and adult. Rubber tube,
Good fishing; Pickerel, Bass, Northern Pike and Perch. Small river at west end of lake. 2 rods provided. You will need need to purchase our own fishing license.

We provide a list of everything that is in the cottage to minimize what you need to bring.
Shopping: closest convenience and 1 general stores in Parham - 15 minutes. Three villages within 30 minute drive with supermarkets, banks and variety of shops: Verona (B.of M), Sharbot Lake (Royal Bank) and Tamworth (CIBC). There is an English butcher on Hiway #38 a couple of miles south of Sharbot Lake.
Perth is 45 minutes, very pretty, worth a visit. Kingston is 55 minutes away with all facilities. Horseback riding and other activities are available in the area. See brochures in the cottage. Studio tours may be available locally or in adjacent counties, Numerous craftspersons and artists within an hours drive.
Ganonoque along the St. Lawrence has the Thousand Island boat tours and excellent summer theater. Bon echo Lake and Frontenac Park about 45 minute drive.

The "Rose Room."

The "Rose Room," an upstairs bedroom. Two single beds. Extra storage draws under bed.

Upstairs bathroom from the hallway. Contains shower and bathtub - 4 piece.


A satisfied visitor. There are Raccoons, Chipmunks, Groundhogs and Porcupines in the vicinity. Bear sightings are at the local dump about 10 miles away. Many birds including Owls, Ospreys "sea eagles," and Loons. Hummingbirds are common.

The shoreline is rocky but the two docks provide safe access into the water. Trees have been thinned out and trimmed to provide lake view, but still retain privacy.
